Begonia Rex is in a class of its own. Prized by collectors for their impossibly intricate leaf patterns — swirling galaxies of silver, deep burgundy, forest green, and blush pink — each leaf is essentially a living work of art. Bold, dramatic, and utterly unique, it's the plant that stops guests mid-conversation.

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal; enough to keep the colors vivid without scorching the delicate, velvety surface. Avoid direct sun entirely.

Water: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Water at the base only — moisture on the leaves causes spotting and invites rot. Less is more.

Humidity/Temp: Demands moderate to high humidity; thrives in stable temperatures between 65–75°F. A pebble tray or humidifier nearby makes a noticeable difference.

Pet note: Toxic to pets; the underground rhizomes are the most potent part.

Natural variation: Each plant is unique; leaf patterning, color intensity, and the balance of tones will vary dramatically — and beautifully — by variety.
