Bromeliad
The tropical flame.
Bold, exotic, and effortlessly striking, the Bromeliad is nature's most dramatic centerpiece. A rosette of glossy, strap-like leaves cradles a spectacular central bloom — vivid reds, electric oranges, hot pinks, and sunny yellows — that holds its color for months, far outlasting any cut flower arrangement. Tropical luxury, zero fuss.
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light; strong filtered light keeps the foliage richest and extends bloom life. Tolerates medium light well — one of the few flowering plants that performs reliably without direct sun.
Water: Fill the central cup formed by the leaf rosette with water, refreshing it weekly to prevent stagnation. Water the soil sparingly — allow it to dry out almost completely between waterings. Less soil moisture is always better than more.
Humidity/Temp: Loves warmth and humidity; thrives between 65–80°F. Appreciates occasional misting around the foliage — not into the cup — in very dry interiors.
Pet note: Non-toxic to pets — a genuinely pet-safe flowering plant that brings months of vivid, tropical color to any space.
Natural variation: Each plant is unique; bloom color, bract shape, leaf banding, and overall rosette size will vary naturally by variety.
