Peperomia
The collector's compact.
Peperomias are the quiet obsession of the plant world — endlessly varied, surprisingly characterful, and perfectly sized for desks, shelves, and windowsills. With over 1,000 species ranging from rippled and textured to smooth and glossy, waxy and succulent-like to delicately patterned, there's a Peperomia for every aesthetic. Small in footprint, enormous in personality.
Light: Thrives in bright to medium indirect light; adapts well to lower light conditions making it one of the most versatile indoor plants available. Avoid harsh direct sun which can scorch the foliage.
Water: Allow the top half of the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Their thick, semi-succulent leaves store moisture — they are highly forgiving of missed waterings and very sensitive to overwatering.
Humidity/Temp: Content in standard home humidity; thrives in comfortable indoor temperatures between 65–80°F. One of the few tropical plants that doesn't demand extra humidity — ideal for drier interiors.
Pet note: Non-toxic to pets — a rare, genuinely pet-safe option that doesn't compromise on style.
Natural variation: Each plant is unique; leaf texture, color, pattern, and overall growth habit will vary dramatically and beautifully by variety.
