The Umbrella Tree earns its name beautifully — glossy, hand-shaped leaflets radiate outward from each stem like the spokes of an umbrella, creating a lush, layered canopy that brings an instant tropical fullness to any bright interior. Fast-growing, forgiving, and naturally elegant, it's one of the easiest large indoor trees to keep looking spectacular.

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light for the fullest, most vigorous growth. Tolerates medium indirect light better than most large statement trees, though growth slows considerably. Avoid harsh direct sun which scorches the glossy foliage.

Water: Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly. Fairly drought-tolerant once established — reduce watering in winter and ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Humidity/Temp: Content in standard home humidity; thrives in consistent warmth between 60–80°F. Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes — find it a permanent spot and leave it there.

Pet note: Toxic to pets if ingested; causes digestive upset and mild tremors in cats and dogs. Keep out of reach of curious animals.
